Almost every roof on the Front Range is asphalt shingle, and almost every asphalt shingle comes from one of a handful of national manufacturers. Knowing the brand your roofer is quoting tells you what warranty language, certification tier, and impact rating you should expect to see in writing.

The largest roofing manufacturer in North America. Its Timberline HDZ line is one of the most commonly installed shingles in the Denver metro. GAF's Class 4 impact-resistant products include the Timberline AS II (Armor Shield) line. Installers can earn tiered certifications — Certified, then Master Elite — that unlock longer, non-prorated warranty coverage when the manufacturer inspects the finished job.
A major U.S. manufacturer whose Duration series includes a Class 4 impact-resistant option (Duration STORM/Impact Plus, depending on region). Owens Corning runs its own contractor network — Preferred and Platinum Preferred tiers — that similarly extend warranty length and coverage when the installing contractor holds that certification.
A Saint-Gobain brand widely installed in Colorado. Its Landmark shingle line is a common mid-tier choice, with a Class 4 impact-resistant version (Landmark IR) available. CertainTeed also certifies installers under a ShingleMaster program.
An Oregon-based manufacturer that has built a strong presence in Colorado specifically around hail performance — its Highlander NEX and Vista shingles use a polymer-modified base that carries a Class 4 rating as standard on several lines, not just a premium upsell.
A privately held U.S. manufacturer whose Heritage shingle line is common in the region, generally positioned as a value-tier product relative to GAF, Owens Corning and CertainTeed. Class 4 options exist within TAMKO's lineup but are less universal across the product range.
A Canadian manufacturer with a growing footprint in the U.S. market, including Colorado. Its Dynasty and Cambridge lines are common installs, with Class 4 rated products available.
